Hey Body Art Lovers!
A young girl with ambition, starting off at a kiosk blending lipsticks, and evolving her business into a body art empire.
In the ninety's our founder Tina began her journey studying at the Christine Valmy school of Esthetics in New York City. Within six-hundred hours of courses, one class focused on applying different kinds of body art. The picture you see below is the day Tina spent learning how to facepaint and apply temporary tattoos! When this picture was taken almost twenty-five years ago, she had NO idea Artemix would come full circle and evolve into the Body Art Company it is today! Following her courses, Tina began custom blending lipsticks at the Broadway Mall on Long Island New York. For two years she struggled keeping her small kiosk afloat due to lack of business. With much strife she came to a decision making point- Either shut down her kiosk or redirect her custom blending lipstick kiosk. Remembering this moment, Tina decided to carve a new path. She began offering temporary tattoos to customers, eventually transforming her kiosk into a specialized Temporary Tattoos Station! Lines began forming out the door, opportunities started flooding in, and just like that her company took off!
The rest is history.
The foundation in which Artemix has grown upon, is dedication and loyalty to our costumers and our artists. Expression through body art has given us all so much happiness, and Artemix has been continuing to grow and thrive for over twenty years because of love, art, and you.
Guess who's back at Bagatelle?
Bagatelle has a special place in our hearts.
We have made so many memories with Bagatelle's team this year, such as launching The Artemix Palette, as well as painting the faces of the staff members Halloween weekend!
This past Wednesday was so much fun! Artemix was able to show event planners how great temporary tattoos are, and walk around body art is for all ages! We were literally turning heads as our artist Georgette strolled through the bistro, offering spectacular glitter tattoos. Another artist Janna was stationary offering the custom "I (Heart) Bagatelle" logo stencil, as an airbrush tattoo! The DJ was playing posh hits, the wine and spirits were flowing, and there was even a personalized photo booth! It was truly a magical night to remember!
We look forward to many more wonderful events this year at Bagatelle NYC!
